Villa Kidosho

Two suites · one infinity pool

Sun and moon, above the lagoon.

Jua (sun) and Mwezi (moon) are carved-stone suites in Swahili-Arabic style, each with an ocean-facing terrace. Between them hangs the infinity pool — the one from the photographs, the one the floating breakfast arrives in.

Book one suite, or take the whole villa for a honeymoon that doesn't share.

Floating breakfast in the Villa Kidosho infinity pool

Mornings here

Breakfast arrives by water

Order the evening before, and the tray floats out at whatever hour the sun and the tide agree on. The rest of the morning belongs to the pool's edge and the horizon.

Beyond the villa

The lagoon is the itinerary

Walk the reef flat to Mchanga sandbank at low tide. Kayak it at high. Sail a ngalawa into the sunset on the Chwaka side. Bustani Spa is in the garden; Zatiny and Duyên are barefoot-close for dinner.

Signature moments
The private beach in front of Boutique Hotel Matlai

“We booked Jua for three nights and ended our honeymoon owning the whole villa for a week. The pool at sunrise is something we still talk about.”
